Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our agile maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery and industrial equipment used in manufacturing and industrial environments. Your expertise will ensure optimal equipment performance, safety, and reliability across our operations.

Duties

- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, industrial machinery, and manufacturing equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and electrical experience to diagnose and resolve automation and control system issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Weld, fabricate, or replace parts as needed, employing welding skills and mechanical expertise.
- Assist with HVAC systems, boilers, low voltage electrical systems, and industrial electrician tasks to ensure all systems operate efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols diligently,



including adherence to lockout/tagout procedures and proper handling of hazardous materials.

Experience

- Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic or in a similar industrial maintenance role within manufacturing or heavy industry environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in schematics interpretation and troubleshooting complex machinery systems.
- Hands-on experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), electrical systems (including low voltage), HVAC units, boilers, and welding techniques.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting.
- Industrial electrician experience is highly desirable for diagnosing electrical issues efficiently.
- Excellent analysis skills to identify root causes of equipment failures quickly and accurately.
- Strong communication skills in English for effective collaboration with team members and vendors.
