Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Heavy Duty Parts Person to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the key point of contact for sourcing, purchasing, and managing heavy-duty parts essential for maintaining and repairing commercial equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure the seamless flow of parts through effective procurement, inventory management, and customer service.

Duties

- Assist customers by providing expert advice on heavy-duty parts, ensuring they receive the right components for their needs
- Manage inventory levels through accurate data entry and regular stock checks using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems
- Source and procure parts from multiple suppliers, negotiating prices and delivery terms to optimize costs and lead times
- Maintain detailed records of purchase orders, invoices, and inventory transactions within CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and other procurement software
- Coordinate with internal departments such as manufacturing or service teams to fulfill demand planning requirements and ensure timely availability of parts
- Operate forklifts safely to handle heavy parts and facilitate efficient warehouse movement




- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving issues efficiently, and fostering long-term relationships

Skills

- Proven dealership experience or background in heavy-duty parts sales and support
- Strong data entry skills with attention to accuracy in inventory management and procurement documentation
- Knowledge of supply chain processes, sourcing strategies, and negotiation techniques
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy-duty equipment, trucks, HVAC systems, or manufacturing machinery is highly desirable
- Familiarity with ERP systems, CMMS software, demand planning tools, and procurement platforms
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently in a warehouse workplace
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Understanding of sourcing strategies within manufacturing or supply chain contexts
