Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to join our mining team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a variety of heavy equipment, a commitment to safety, and a robust work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, rock trucks and graders to perform tasks on mining sites
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct pre-operation equipment checks and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Complete tasks efficiently and according to project specifications
- Collaborate with other team members and in office personnel to ensure smooth project execution
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform basic maintenance as needed.
- Communicate effectively with site personnel

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator
- Proven experience in Surface Mining is an asset
- Familiarity with various types of heavy equipment
- Robust commitment to safety protocols
- GPS knowledge an asset

Requirements

- Successful completion of Drug and Alcohol Screening
- Valid and in good standing Ontario Drivers License

Education and Certification

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Surface miner certification an asset
