Job Summary

Emilie Meyers is seeking a reliable and experienced Home Child Care Provider to provide attentive and safe care for children in a private home in Ottawa, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising children, supporting their daily routines and personal development, preparing nutritious meals, and maintaining a clean and safe household environment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

- Supervising and caring for children in the employer's home.
- Bathing, dressing, and feeding infants and children.
- Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks.
- Instructing children in personal hygiene and social development.
- Performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
- Washing, ironing, and pressing clothing and household linens.
- Ensuring the children's safety and well-being at all times.
- Supporting children's daily activities and routines.
- Travelling with the family when required.




- Performing other related childcare duties as required.

Employment Requirements

- College or CEGEP education.
- At least 1 year but less than 2 years of relevant experience.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly.
- Ability to care for children and handle duties involving children weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Willingness to travel as required.

Working Conditions

- Work must be performed on-site at the employer's private residence.
- Optional accommodation may be available at no charge on a live-in basis; this is not a condition of employment.
- Travel expenses will be paid by the employer when travel is required for work.
- Transportation may be provided by the employer.
