We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a smooth dining experience. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the flow of guests in the restaurant, maintain seating plan, set and explicit tables , and provide excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for hospitality.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, addressing inquiries and taking reservations.
- Managing waitlists and guest information.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service.
- Sets-up tables and organizes them to accommodate the various needs in the line-up/groups
- Verify washroom cleanliness throughout the day
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with food service operations is a plus.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
