Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and skilled Host/Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors, ensuring they receive exceptional guest services and have a positive experience from the moment they arrive. This role is essential in maintaining the smooth flow of operations within our restaurant or hospitality establishment, providing excellent customer service and supporting the overall guest experience.

Duties

- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems
- Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, providing information and taking reservations as needed
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station and waiting areas
- Provide guests with menus, answer questions about the menu, and promote specials or events
- Handle guest inquiries or concerns professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary




- Assist in maintaining a welcoming environment that reflects excellent hospitality standards

Skills

- Strong guest services and customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Previous experience in serving, hospitality, or food service environments preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of restaurant POS systems
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Professional phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries
- Experience in hotel or restaurant environments is a plus
- Ability to work well as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities
