About the Role

Reporting to the Phase 2 Environment Compliance Lead, the HSSE Compliance Analyst will support the Phase 2 Environment and Compliance Team and the Health and Safety, Security & Emergency Response team by ensuring compliance records, data, and documentation are accurately maintained and readily available to support requests from stakeholders, regulators, and Indigenous groups.

The role will also support in establishing, maintaining, and improving key systems and processes, including compliance management systems, records and document control, and the preparation of compliance reporting and documentation packages.

The HSSE Compliance Analyst plays a critical role in managing and safeguarding compliance data that supports regulatory obligations, informs decision-making, and helps maintain the organization's credibility and trust with stakeholders, regulators, and Indigenous groups.

You will use your expertise to:

- Support overall compliance through monitoring systems and processes including:
- Regular reviews and updates to the compliance management plan
- Regular review and tracking of regulatory compliance requirements through the compliance tracking tool
- Regular follow up with compliance task owners, updating compliance tools
- Escalate compliance tasks that are outstanding / overdue
- Regular review, tracking and updating compliance event tracker and reporting tracker ensuring dashboards are up to date

- Ensure HSSE and compliance records are managed including:

- Uploading records of communication from functional permitting e-mail to structured SharePoint folders
- Declare SharePoint folders as records
- Track, monitor to close-out of HSSE and compliance events and ensure records are uploaded to respective SharePoint folders
- Communicate records completion with compliance team to ensure close-out quarterly event compliance reports are ready for document control
- Upload compliance reports submitted externally (to Stakeholders, Regulators and First Nations) to SharePoint folders, tracking against compliance report tracker
- Generate HSSE and compliance report document packages submitting to document control, closing out the record

- Support HSSE and Compliance Management System Stand-Up

- Review HSSE and compliance management system requirements documents and specifications
- Support generation of test plans, and data testing
- Upload compliance information into compliance tracking tool (Cority), including permits, licences, authorizations, and management plans
- Upload compliance conditions / tasks under respective permits etc., into compliance tracking tool (Cority)
- Undertake / support user acceptance testing with compliance tracking tool (Cority)

- Support development of an Heath Safety Environmental Management System (HSSEMS)

- Support alignment with Safety, Permitting, Environment and Compliance teams with developing an HSSEMS including:
- Aligning policies and procedures
- Aligning standard operating procedures
- Aligning with assurance and testing plans
- Aligning with continuous improvement

- Support with compliance assurance programs

- Aligning environmental assurance programs with compliance
- Assisting with audit review preparation, communications, and capturing evidence

To be successful, you will have:





- 3 to 5 years of experience with projects having complex HSSE, regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Working knowledge of BC Environmental Regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, Sciences, Biology or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with large environment compliance data / information management systems, and records retention / retrieval.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Demonstrated team focus customer service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This role requires that you:

- Be legally entitled to work in Canada (i.e., by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit)
- Live in either Calgary or Kitimat.
- The role is hybrid (Calgary) requiring to be in the office as per the team norms and project cadence
- In Kitimat, this is typically 5 days per week in office
- Are willing to comply with LNGC’s drug-free and harassment-free work environment and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
- Undergo a pre-placement medical assessment of your fitness for duty, and Pre-Site Access testing for alcohol and specified drugs.
- This role is expected to end approximately 5-Years subject to a positive Phase 2 Project Final Investment Decision, which is expected by end of 2026. This is a full-time role with benefits; this is not a contractor role.
- Willing to travel- overnight travel to Kitimat as required.
