We are looking for 8 I-Cut Operators reporting directly to ISM Supervisor, I – Cut Operator will fulfill requirements associated with preparing, operating and maintaining LFD Printer equipment. The incumbent will be responsible for all elements of the print process from the ripping of the files, management of the physical printing process to achieve color, daily and weekly maintenance routines and managing stock and equipment consumables.
The hourly range for this position is $22 to $28 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity. This range is provided to ensure clarity and promote equitable access to employment opportunities.
Responsibilities
When your actions lead to success:
- Set up, program, and operate i-cut digital cutting systems according to production requirements.
- Review work orders, specifications, and artwork files to ensure accurate cutting and finishing.
- Perform machine adjustments, tool changes, and routine maintenance to optimize performance.
- Monitor production quality and conduct in-process inspections to ensure products meet customer specifications.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
- Ensure materials are handled properly and waste is minimized.
- Follow all company safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
- Collaborate with Prepress, Printing, Finishing, and Production teams to meet production schedules and customer expectations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.
Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating i-cut, digital cutting, CNC cutting, or related finishing equipment preferred.
- Experience in printing, packaging, signage, labels, or graphic communications manufacturing is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, production specifications, and technical drawings.
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with production software.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods.
- Knowledge of i-cut software and workflows.
- Experience with digital finishing equipment and automated cutting systems.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Available to work overtime as required.
