The Innovation and Commercialization Specialist will act as the project lead, primarily for the DRIVE Initiative. The role supports the advancement of health related innovations, selected out of the DRIVE activities (ie SPARK competition), internal spinouts and research translation efforts out of the Research and Innovation department. Reporting to the Manager, Research Development and Innovation, this role directly manages project workplans, operationalizes governance tools, and drives cross functional delivery across Hamilton Health Sciences and external ecosystem partners.
This role functions as the day-to-day portfolio lead for DRIVE, managing portfolio activities including, but not limited to, coordinating people, processes, and partners to move health-related innovations from concept to validated, fundable, and commercially actionable pathways. The Specialist executes on plans and priorities, leads cross-functional teams,
and serves as a central point of accountability for project delivery, stakeholder experience, and performance reporting. Through internal collaboration and external ecosystem partnerships, DRIVE connects clinical, technical, and business expertise to generate sustainable impact, funding, and value creation for Hamilton Health Sciences and its innovators.
- Masters degree in Business, Project Management, Biomedical Innovation or Technology
- 3-5 years' experience Project Management Knowledge
- 3-5 years’ experience in Health Care Workplace
- 3-5 years’ experience in Financial Management· 3-5 years’ experience in Strategic Implementation
