Job Title: Installation Technician / Millwright This role focuses on installing, moving, and setting up equipment and conveyor systems at customer sites. You will perform mechanical installations, work with hand and power tools, and operate equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
Install, move, and align equipment and conveyor systems on customer sites according to project requirements. Perform mechanical installation work, including rigging, mounting, and securing equipment. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete installation tasks.
Read and interpret basic blueprints and installation drawings to ensure accurate setup. Operate scissor lifts and work safely at heights to access installation areas. Operate forklifts to move and position equipment and materials as needed.
Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate safety certifications and training in daily work. Respond to occasional service calls, which may occur during nights or weekends, to support customer needs. Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure tools and equipment are properly stored and cared for. Communicate clearly with team members and site contacts to coordinate installation activities and timelines.
Essential Skills
Proven experience with mechanical installation of equipment and conveyors.
Strong proficiency using hand tools and power tools in an industrial or construction environment. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and installation drawings.
Experience working safely at heights and on scissor lifts. Hands-on experience with rigging and moving equipment. Ability to operate a forklift in a protected and controlled manner. Valid and up-to-date safety certifications relevant to industrial installation work. Ability to work day shifts with flexibility for occasional night or weekend service calls.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety procedures.

Qualifications Formal forklift certification or license. Additional safety certifications related to working at heights, lift operation, or industrial environments. Previous millwright or installation technician experience in an industrial setting. Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues during installation and service calls. Strong communication and teamwork skills when working in office with others.

Work Environment
This role is primarily day shift, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with occasional night or weekend work to handle service calls. Work takes place at customer sites, often in industrial facilities, where you will use equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts and work at heights. The environment is hands-on, tool-intensive, and safety-focused, requiring appropriate safety gear and adherence to site-specific safety procedures.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Cambridge, ON. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $42.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
