Your responsibilities include conducting thorough legal research, drafting legal documents, and advocating for the organization's position in various legal matters. This role demands strong analytical skills to navigate litigation risks and formulate effective solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and advance insurance litigation files, including MVA and Property claims
- Conduct in-depth legal research on relevant statutes and case law
- Draft and review legal documents,
ensuring accuracy and clarity
- Represent AMA and negotiate settlements on behalf of the organization
- Advise on regulatory changes affecting AMA’s operations
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor required
- Active membership with Alberta Law Society
- 5+ years of insurance defence litigation experience
- Robust legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
- Capacity to manage multiple litigation files independently
