About the Opportunity A Calgary litigation practice is seeking an Associate to join its insurance defence group, working on a diverse caseload for insurer and self-insured clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage insurance defence files from intake through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal opinions
- Attend examinations for discovery, mediations, and court appearances
- Communicate regularly with insurer clients and adjusters




- Conduct legal research on coverage and liability issues

Qualifications

- Called to the Bar in Alberta, in good standing
- 2-4 years of litigation experience, ideally including insurance defence
- Strong file-management and client-communication skills
- Comfortable managing a high-volume caseload
- Practical, business-minded approach to litigation
