Looking to turn what you're learning in school into real-world experience?

WQS Group is looking for a post-secondary student to join our People & Culture team in a part-time internship role.

This isn't an internship where you'll spend the semester watching from the sidelines. You'll get exposure to recruitment, employee communications, engagement initiatives, reporting, community involvement and the day-to-day operations of a busy People & Culture department.

You'll also help keep our office running smoothly, so we're looking for someone who is organized, adaptable and willing to jump in wherever support is needed.

What you'll get experience with:

- Recruitment and candidate coordination
- Employee and company communications
- Dayforce Employee Hub content
- Employee engagement and company events
- Creating flyers and communication materials
- HR reporting, spreadsheets and data entry
- Grant application administration
- Community and volunteer initiatives
- Social media support
- General office administration, supplies, vendors, POs and documentation
- Plenty of the miscellaneous projects that come with working in a fast-moving business

Who we're looking for:

- You must be in your second year or higher of post-secondary education and either currently attending school or on a semester off with plans to return.
- You must reside in Fort McMurray, this is a hands on role that does not offer remote work.
- You'll also need to be available for at least 20 hours per week,



with your hours falling within our regular office schedule of Monday–Thursday, 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Canva, social media or HR systems is an asset.
- We're looking for someone who communicates well, stays organized, pays attention to the details and isn't afraid to take initiative.
- Most of all we're more interested in finding someone eager to learn and build practical experience.

This position is intended to meet student employment/grant eligibility requirements, and confirmation of current post-secondary enrolment and/or plans to return to studies is an absolute must.
