Income Assistance Workers are responsible for supporting the most vulnerable people of Saskatchewan to meet their basic needs as they work toward becoming self-sufficient to the best of their abilities.

We often seek Income Assistance Workers to join our Ministry of Social Services team. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace that values the experience, knowledge, skills and perspectives of all employees.

What could you do in this role?

- Meet and engage with clients in person, by telephone, virtually and in writing to determine their needs, barriers and goals
- Lead, develop, monitor and evaluate the client’s progress within their plan and with others involved
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, community stakeholders and clients to mobilize the client’s personal resources towards self-sufficiency, using appropriate supporting interventions
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with service providers, community organizations and other government ministries and agencies

Typically, the knowledge and abilities required for this position can be achieved through both education and/or Human Services-related work experience. Human Services experience would include Social Work, Indigenous Social Work,



Sociology, Human Justice, Psychology or a related area. This position requires travel within or between communities as needed. A valid Saskatchewan driver's license is required.
