Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic

Nordic Energy Canada Corp. is looking for an experienced Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in Grande Prairie.

We operate a diverse fleet supporting the oil & gas industry throughout Northern Alberta and Northeast BC. This is a hands-on position working on a wide variety of trucks, trailers, and specialized oilfield equipment.

What You'll Work On

Our fleet includes

- Tank trucks
- Pressure trucks
- Vacuum and combo vacuum trucks
- Highway and deck trucks
- Fluid and chemical hauling equipment
- Super B and other heavy trailers
- Pumps, PTOs, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Fluid tanks and associated equipment

Work will include preventative maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, and breakdown support. Some repairs and maintenance may require work on or inside tanks and vessels. Confined-space procedures, permits, PPE, atmospheric testing, and company safety requirements must be followed at all times.

What We're Looking For

- Alberta Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician certification
- CVIP licence/inspection certification considered a robust asset
- Experience with heavy trucks and trailers
- Strong electrical, air brake, hydraulic and diagnostic skills
- Experience with oilfield equipment is an asset
- Valid driver's licence
- Class 1 or Class 3 licence is an asset




- Ability to work independently and prioritize repairs
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Reliable, organized and able to work effectively in a busy shop environment
