Overview

Letcar Auto Ltd. is seeking a Journeyman Automotive Mechanic in Fort McMurray, Alberta to join our growing team in an in-town based position providing high-quality automotive repair and maintenance services. This position is ideal for a motivated and experienced mechanic who takes pride in producing quality work, is able to work independently, and is dedicated to providing outstanding customer service with every repair.

The successful candidate will be courteous, dependable, punctual, adaptable, and accountable for the quality of their work. We are looking for someone with strong diagnostic and repair skills who is committed to completing repairs safely, efficiently, and right the first time.

Responsibilities:

- Diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of automotive systems and components
- Perform vehicle inspections, preventative maintenance, and mechanical repairs
- Troubleshoot electrical, wiring, drivetrain, suspension, steering, and brake systems
- Complete vehicle diagnostics using computerized diagnostic equipment
- Read and interpret manufacturer manuals, technical drawings, and repair procedures
- Perform road tests to confirm repairs and diagnose vehicle concerns
- Complete daily work orders, inspection reports, and related paperwork accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized,



and safe work area
- Safely operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding repairs, findings, and timelines
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company policies and safety standards

Requirements:

- Minimum of 3 years of automotive mechanic experience (required)
- Journeyman Automotive Technician Trade Certificate (required)
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills
- Basic computer and internet proficiency
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Overtime as required
- Weekends as needed

Pay: $60.00-$65.00 per hour

Education:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
