About The Role
Reporting to the Mechanical Department Manager, the Journeyperson Welder will provide welding expertise on a variety of industrial and mechanical projects throughout the Lower Mainland, including repairs, modifications, maintenance, and installations.
Key responsibilities include
- Perform welding, cutting, and related metalwork on mechanical equipment and components;
- Travel to various customer sites to complete welding repairs, modifications, and installation work;
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and job requirements;
- Ensure welds and completed work meet project specifications and quality standards;
- Work alongside millwrights, metal fabricators, and other trades to complete projects safely and efficiently;
- Maintain professional communication with customers and team members throughout each project;
- Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including completing daily FLRAs.
What You Bring
The ideal candidate is an experienced Journeyperson Welder who is mechanically inclined and enjoys taking on more than just welding. You bring robust welding skills and a commitment to quality and safety, with stainless steel TIG welding experience considered an asset. Fabrication and millwright experience is also an asset, as projects may require you to support mechanical installations, repairs, and fabrication work. You’re comfortable working in the field, adaptable, and willing to take on a variety of hands-on tasks as projects evolve. You bring strong communication and customer service skills, sound judgment, and a team-oriented approach to representing a skilled trades company.
Our Must Haves
- Red Seal Welder certification;
- Owns personal hand tools and approved footwear;
- Hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and has reliable transportation;
- Stainless steel TIG welding is considered an asset;
- Fabrication and millwright experience is considered an asset.

- Wage: $42.00-$48.00 per hour
