Winnipeg

Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba

Company: Vincent Design Inc.

Position Type: Full-Time

About Vincent DesignVincent Design is an Indigenous-led creative agency based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We work with organizations across Canada to create thoughtful, meaningful work across brand, design, marketing, digital, and web.

A significant part of our work is with Indigenous organizations, communities, governments, and businesses. We value strong relationships, thoughtful storytelling, collaboration, and creating work that reflects the people and organizations we work with.

The RoleWe’re looking for a Junior Copywriter to join our team and support writing and content development across a variety of client accounts and Vincent Design’s own marketing.

This is a writing-focused role for someone who loves finding the right words, can adapt their writing style to different audiences and brands, and is comfortable moving between everything from website copy and social media posts to campaign messaging, blogs, emails, and advertising.

You’ll primarily work from established strategies, creative direction, and project briefs, collaborating with our strategy, marketing, design, and account teams to turn ideas into clear, engaging, polished copy.

While you may occasionally participate in conversations related to gathering information or clarifying content, this role is largely removed from day-to-day client relationship management so you can stay focused on what you do best: researching, writing, editing, and creating great content.

What You’ll Do

- Draft copy for websites, social media, email campaigns, digital and traditional advertising, blogs, campaigns, and other marketing materials
- Write from established project briefs, strategies, messaging frameworks, and creative direction
- Edit and proofread content for grammar, clarity, consistency, tone, accuracy, and alignment with brand standards
- Write and revise website content, including page copy, headlines, calls to action, FAQs, and supporting content
- Learn and apply different client brand voices, terminology, messaging, and style guidelines
- Conduct research into clients, audiences, industries, competitors, topics, and subject matter to support accurate and effective writing
- Incorporate feedback and revisions from strategists, creative leads, marketers,

account managers, and project teams
- Adapt and repurpose existing content across different platforms, formats, and audiences
- Contribute ideas for campaigns, messaging, headlines, concepts, and content
- Collaborate closely with designers to ensure copy and creative work effectively together
- Apply basic SEO principles to website copy where required
- Support Vincent Design’s own marketing and communications as needed

Supporting Website ProjectsWebsite projects will be an key part of this role, but your responsibility will remain focused on the writing and editing side of the process.

Once website content has been collected, you may be brought into the project to review, edit, rewrite, and develop content before it moves into final website production and client training.

Depending on the project, this may include:

- Reviewing content provided by clients for clarity, consistency, tone, and readability
- Rewriting or developing website page content where required
- Creating headlines, calls to action, FAQs, and other supporting copy
- Ensuring website content follows established messaging and brand direction
- Applying basic SEO and web-writing best practices
- Completing revisions based on internal or client feedback
- Working with the website team to ensure final content is complete and ready for publication

You may also take on additional writing assignments delegated by the website team as projects require. What We’re Looking ForYou’ll be a strong fit for this role if you have:

- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- An excellent understanding of grammar, spelling, tone, and sentence structure
- The ability to adapt your writing to different brand voices, audiences, industries, and platforms
- Strong research skills and curiosity about unfamiliar topics
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to work from an established brief, strategy, or creative direction

- A basic understanding of marketing, branding, and digital content
- The ability to take feedback well and translate it into thoughtful revisions
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple writing assignments and deadlines
- An understanding that great copy sometimes takes a few rounds to get right

- What Success Looks LikeYou’ll become someone our team can rely on to take a brief, understand the goal, ask the right questions, and turn it into polished copy. You’ll be able to move comfortably between different clients and brand voices without everything sounding the same. You’ll catch the awkward sentence, inconsistent terminology, unnecessary paragraph, or missing call to action — and you’ll know how to make it better.

Over time, you’ll develop a strong understanding of our clients, our approach to creative work, and how writing fits into the bigger picture of brand, marketing, design, and digital experiences.

Working at Vincent DesignYou’ll be joining a multidisciplinary team working across brand, design, marketing, strategy, digital, and web. That means the work is varied — one day you might be writing website copy, the next you could be developing social content, editing a report, brainstorming campaign headlines, or helping bring a new brand voice to life.

We value people who are creative, curious, dependable, collaborative, open to feedback, and genuinely interested in becoming better at their craft.

Experience working with Indigenous organizations or communities is an asset, but it is not required. What matters most is approaching the work with respect, curiosity, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.

How to ApplyPlease submit your resume along with a brief introduction telling us a little about yourself and why you’re interested in the Junior Copywriter role.

We’d also love to see examples of your writing. This could include website copy, social media content, blogs, campaign work, advertising, school projects, freelance work, personal writing, or other pieces that demonstrate your ability to communicate clearly and adapt your writing style.

We appreciate all applications and will contact candidates selected to move forward in the recruitment process.
