Role Description The King and Queen Childcare role is a full-time, on-site position located in Aldergrove, BC, focused on supporting children’s daily routines and learning experiences.

Responsibilities include supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities, organizing age-appropriate educational and play-based programs, and assisting with meals, rest periods, and transitions throughout the day. The role involves maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment, following childcare policies and health and safety guidelines, and documenting observations to support each child’s development. Team members collaborate with colleagues and communicate with families to ensure consistent care, emotional support, and positive behavior guidance.





The position may also involve assisting with special events, cultural activities, and ongoing program improvements.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience working with children in childcare, preschool, or similar settings, with strong supervision and engagement skills.
- Knowledge of child development principles and ability to plan age-appropriate activities that support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
- Ability to maintain a safe and organized environment, including adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with staff and building trusting relationships with children and families.
- Patience, empathy, and positive behavior guidance skills, with a commitment to inclusive and culturally respectful care.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work full-time in office in Aldergrove, BC as part of a team-based environment.
- Relevant childcare certification, early childhood education training, or equivalent experience (or willingness to obtain, as required by local regulations).
- Current first aid/CPR certification and clear background checks, in accordance with childcare and regulatory requirements.
