Trinidadian take-out restaurant is seeking an energetic, versatile individual with prior kitchen and serving station experience.

Must have valid Food Handler Certificate.

HOURS

Every day, Tuesday to Saturday, from 12 pm to close (approximately 8 pm). Note: hours may vary according to our needs. Please do not apply if you cannot work all days and hours on a regular basis.

MAIN DUTIES

Preparing and assembling food orders and performing kitchen tasks:

· assembling and packaging take-out and online delivery orders

· prepping and light cooking for certain menu items (on an as-ordered basis)

· grilling meats over live fire (on an as-ordered basis)

· operating various kitchen equipment

· keeping track of food inventory at the serving station and restocking as needed

· helping out at the front counter taking and processing food orders and payments, as required

· closing tasks, including proper food storage, equipment cleaning and shut down, dishwashing, sanitizing,



sweeping/mopping floors, trash removal, sanitizing, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

· familiar with Trinidadian/Caribbean cuisine and some cooking ability

· able to multi-task and work under time pressures without becoming overwhelmed

· able to follow directions, take initiative and perform tasks quickly and accurately

· excellent memory, attention to detail, and organizational skills

· friendly, positive attitude

ASSETS

· experience operating kitchen equipment, e.g., food processor / dough sheeter/ flat griddle/ Rational combi oven

· experience working with dough

· POS experience, e.g. Clover Point of Sale system
