Integral Maintenance Systems Ltd. is looking for a reliable, hardworking Labourer to join our team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has an interest in mechanics and wants to gain experience working in a busy mechanical shop environment.

Mechanical experience is not required; however, an interest in mechanical work and a willingness to learn are strongly preferred.

Position Overview The Labourer will assist our technicians and shop team with day-to-day operations, general labour duties, cleaning, organization and other tasks required to keep the shop operating safely and efficiently.

This position is ideal for someone who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty, takes initiative and wants to learn more about the mechanical/heavy-duty industry.

Responsibilities

Duties may include

- Assisting Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technicians and other shop personnel as required
- General shop labour and cleanup
- Keeping shop floors, work areas and common areas clean and organized
- Cleaning equipment, parts, tools and work areas
- Moving and organizing parts, supplies, tools and equipment
- Assisting with basic mechanical tasks under the direction of qualified technicians
- Picking up and delivering parts and supplies as required
- Loading and unloading materials
- Operating basic hand and power tools when trained and authorized
- Helping maintain an organized parts and storage area
- Performing basic inspections and maintenance of shop equipment as directed
- Following all company safety policies and procedures
- Completing other general labour duties as assigned





Requirements

Applicants must

- Hold a valid Class 5 driver's license
- Have a clean/acceptable driving record
- Be able to work Monday through Friday, approximately 10–12 hours per day
- Be physically capable of performing general labour duties, including lifting, carrying, bending and working on their feet for extended periods
- Be dependable and punctual
- Have a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Be willing to take direction and learn
- Be comfortable working in a busy mechanical/industrial environment
- Work safely and contribute to a positive safety culture
- Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Be willing and able to complete a Drug & Alcohol test prior to onboarding

Preferred Qualifications The following would be considered assets but are not required:

- Interest in mechanics, automotive or heavy equipment repair
- Previous shop, labour, construction or industrial experience
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Class 3 driver's license
- Interest in eventually pursuing a career in the mechanical/heavy equipment trade

Schedule

- Monday to Friday
- 10–12 hour shifts
- Full-time position
