Duties
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of landscape features, including planting beds, lawns, and hardscape elements
- Operate and maintain various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for planting, trimming, and construction tasks
- Support irrigation system installation, repair, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal watering efficiency
- Help with the use of mechanical equipment such as excavators for site preparation and grading projects
- Participate in garden care activities like pruning, mowing, fertilizing, and pest control to promote healthy growth
- Conduct routine landscape maintenance tasks including edging, mulching, and debris removal
- Follow safety protocols during all operations and report any equipment issues or hazards immediately
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of gardening principles and horticulture practices
- Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools and power tools preferred
- Prior construction or landscaping experience is a plus but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential
- Familiarity with irrigation systems or excavator operation is advantageous
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills
