You’ll play a key part in maintaining beautiful lawns during the warmer months and ensuring safe walkways during winter storms, all while gaining valuable skills in landscape maintenance and equipment operation.

Duties

- Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other hand and power tools to perform precise grass cutting, edging, and trimming
- Clear snow from driveways, walkways, parking lots, and entrances using shovels, snow blowers, and plow equipment
- Maintain and troubleshoot landscaping equipment such as lawnmowers, snow blowers, and small machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with irrigation system setup and basic repairs to ensure healthy plant growth and landscape aesthetics
- Support gardening and horticulture tasks including planting, pruning, mulching, and weed control to enhance landscape beauty
- Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks like edging beds, removing debris, and maintaining garden beds for a polished appearance




- Follow safety protocols during all operations to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment

Skills

- Experience operating landscaping machinery such as excavators or other construction equipment is a plus
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, gardening techniques, horticulture principles, and landscape maintenance best practices
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs on power tools and small machinery
- Familiarity with hand tools (shovels, rakes) and power tools (trimmers, blowers) used in outdoor maintenance
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to outdoor work environments during both summer and winter conditions
- Previous construction or outdoor maintenance experience is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for eager learners
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for lifting, bending, and prolonged standing
