About SpecuLink SpecuLink is a rapidly growing B2B prop-tech SaaS platform designed specifically for the home inspection industry. Live with an active, dedicated user base, our platform allows inspectors to build media-heavy, highly detailed reports directly from the field.
The Role As our user base expands, we are bringing on a Lead Full-Stack Engineer to take complete ownership of our technical roadmap, architecture, and codebase. You will be the technical anchor for the platform, ensuring absolute stability for our users while integrating new features. This is currently a fractional, contract role (15–20 hours/week) designed to scale into a full time leadership position as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Offline-First Architecture: Maintain and bulletproof our mobile sync engine to ensure zero data loss when users operate in environments with poor or no cell service.
- Platform Performance: Optimize state management and cloud storage handling for data-heavy inspections containing 100+ high-resolution images and videos.
- PDF Engine Management: Oversee and refine our Puppeteer-based HTML-to-PDF generation engine to ensure flawless, dynamic report formatting.
- Feature Development: Architect and deploy new features across our web portal and mobile applications (iOS/Android) based on user feedback.
Technical Requirements
- Deep expertise in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and cross-platform mobile frameworks (React Native, Capacitor).
- Extensive backend experience using Node.js.
- Mastery of the Google Firebase ecosystem (Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, and Authentication).
- Proven experience building offline-first applications and handling complex background data synchronization.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles to ensure a seamless, professional experience for our end-users.
