About the Opportunity

Mercor is partnering with a leading legal AI company on a blinded human-preference study. This opportunity is designed for experienced corporate, capital markets, and venture lawyers to evaluate AI-generated legal work products. Experts will review a realistic synthetic legal matter, assess multiple blinded AI deliverables, compare outputs, and provide concise written reasoning based on professional legal judgment.

Responsibilities

- Review a synthetic legal matter and its underlying legal documents.
- Evaluate six blinded AI-generated work products labeled A–F.
- Assess each deliverable for correctness, completeness, judgment, and practical usefulness.
- Conduct five head-to-head comparisons against a common comparator output.
- Select the preferred work product for each comparison.
- Provide concise, specific written reasoning for every preference.
- Apply substantive legal expertise across corporate, capital markets, and venture matters.
- Maintain consistency and objectivity throughout the evaluation process.
- Follow written instructions and project deadlines independently.
- Maintain strict confidentiality throughout the engagement.

Required Qualifications

- Qualified lawyer with substantive professional experience in corporate, capital markets, and/or venture law.
- Experience evaluating legal work product from a holistic qualified perspective.
- Strong ability to assess correctness, completeness,



legal judgment, and usefulness.
- Precise and professional written English.
- Strong analytical and critical-review skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed written instructions.
- Ability to meet project deadlines reliably.
- Familiarity with the relevant transaction and legal-document workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with acqui-hire merger review.
- Experience reviewing seller disclosure schedules.
- Experience with Rule 144A/Reg S closing opinions.
- Experience with Series B venture financing opinions.
- Broad transactional experience spanning corporate and capital markets matters.
- Experience reviewing or assessing complex legal work products.

Compensation

- $100–$120 per hour
- Remote hourly contract engagement.
- Approximately 24 hours across the engagement.
- Work is conducted under an NDA.
- External AI tools must not be used on any project material.

Eligibility

- Qualified lawyers with substantive experience in the practice areas and matters outlined above.
- Applicants must be able to independently complete the engagement within the required deadline.
