Kewley Security is now accepting applications for licensed Security Guards to work events in and around Kingston.

This is a large-scale outdoor music festival environment requiring skilled, reliable, and customer-focused security personnel. Successful applicants will support event safety, access control, alcohol compliance, crowd management, patron assistance, and overall site security throughout the festival.

Applicants must hold a valid Ontario Security Guard Licence and valid Smart Serve certification to be considered.

Responsibilities

Security Guards may be assigned to a variety of event positions, including:

- Access control and credential checks

- Gate, perimeter, and restricted area security

- Alcohol compliance and patron monitoring

- Crowd management and public safety support

- Bag checks and screening support, where assigned

- Responding to incidents and escalating concerns appropriately

- Providing clear directions and strong customer service to patrons

- Supporting emergency procedures as directed by supervisors





- Maintaining professionalism in a quick-paced outdoor festival environment

- Completing incident reports when required

Requirements

Applicants must have
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence

- Valid Smart Serve certification

- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods

- Strong communication and customer service skills

- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure

- Ability to follow direction from supervisors and event command staff

- Reliable transportation to and from the event site

- Previous event, concert, festival, or alcohol compliance experience is considered an asset

Working Conditions

This position involves working in a busy outdoor festival environment. Guards may be required to stand or walk for long periods, work evenings, late nights, weekends, and in various weather.
