In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Primary Care Team Lead or designate, the Primary Care Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
The Primary Care LPN functions as a member of the interprofessional team and applies best practice to provide competent, protected, and ethical care for clients in settings such as physician practices, homes, schools, and communities. Provides care according to the primary care plan developed with the interprofessional team and the client’s personal goals of care. Performs assessments, plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to clients.
