Lighting Service Technician / Electrician — Temporary Subcontract

Infocus Lighting & Electrical is looking for an experienced Lighting Service Technician / Electrician to assist with commercial lighting service projects in active retail stores.

This is service work, not new construction.

We need someone who already has hands-on commercial lighting service experience and can walk into a service call, troubleshoot the problem, make the repair, and work efficiently without supervision.

Required Experience

Applicants must have previous hands-on experience with commercial lighting service, including:

- CFL pot lights / downlights
- T8 fixtures and ballasts
- T5 and T5HO fixtures and ballasts
- Ballast troubleshooting and replacement
- Lamp, socket and lighting component replacement
- Diagnosing failed fixtures and lighting circuits
- General commercial/retail lighting maintenance

You must be comfortable troubleshooting problems, not simply replacing components when told what to change.

This position is best suited to an electrician or experienced lighting technician with a background in commercial lighting maintenance and service calls.

If your electrical experience is primarily new construction and you have limited experience diagnosing existing commercial lighting systems, this position is likely not a good fit.

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
