Line Cook / Kitchen Closer – Heart & Crown Barrhaven The Heart & Crown Irish Pub in Barrhaven is looking for an experienced Line Cook / Kitchen Closer to join our crew!

We’re a busy, high-energy Irish pub serving up great food in a fast-paced kitchen, and we’re looking for someone who can jump on the line, keep things moving, and help us finish the night strong.

This position is specifically for someone who is available to work closing shifts. You must be able to stay until the kitchen is fully closed, cleaned, and ready for the next day.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Prepare and cook menu items to order while following established recipes and standards
- Keep food quality, presentation, and consistency on point—even during the rush
- Work efficiently as part of a busy kitchen team
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Keep your station clean, stocked, and organized throughout your shift
- Complete end-of-night cleaning and kitchen closing duties
- Make sure the kitchen is properly shut down and ready for the following day
- Work collaboratively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams

What We’re Looking For
- Previous line cook experience in a busy restaurant, pub, or similar setting
- Strong cooking skills and knowledge of kitchen techniques
- Someone who can handle a fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality
- Reliable,



organized, and able to manage their time effectively
- A team player with a positive and skilled attitude
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must have reliable availability for closing shifts and be able to stay until all kitchen closing duties are complete
