Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our bustling team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious food items, and ensuring food safety standards are consistently met. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills in a fast-paced, community-focused setting.

Duties

- Prepare ingredients and assist with food preparation for daily service
- Cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Assemble sandwiches and other food items according to standardized recipes and portion guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area and workstations
- Follow food safety procedures, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices
- Support the team during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation of ingredients
- Ensure all food served meets quality and presentation standards

Experience

- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or similar workplace preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards required
- Experience with meal preparation and cooking techniques necessary
- Familiarity with serving protocols and customer service expectations beneficial




- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail

Qualifications & Skills:

- Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen or food production facility preferred.
- Safe Food Handlers Certification
- High School diploma preferred
- Strong knife skills and ability to work quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to follow recipes, portion control guidelines, and assembly instructions accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg.
- Perform prep tasks such as slicing meats, chopping vegetables, and portioning ingredients for production.
- Maintain consistency and quality in food preparation, ensuring all items meet company standards.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper storage and handling of ingredients.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, and ovens safely and effectively.
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and stocked for efficient workflow.
- Assist with inventory management by properly storing ingredients and notifying management of low-stock items.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Follow all company policies, health regulations, and safety standards.
