Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and handling protocols
- Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality, presentation, and consistency
- Support the serving staff by ensuring timely delivery of prepared dishes
- Follow all health and safety regulations to uphold a safe working environment
- Help with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of supply needs
Skills
- Previous food service or restaurant experience demonstrating familiarity with kitchen operations
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Ability to handle food safely, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Excellent understanding of meal preparation processes in a fast-paced setting
- Experience with serving guests or customers in a hospitality environment is a plus
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members
