Linen Plant Worker (Day Shift)

Pay: starting @ $18.00 per hour

Position Overview

Laundry Lounge Ltd. is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and hardworking Linen Plant Worker to join our commercial laundry operation. This role plays an important part in ensuring hotel and hospitality linens are processed efficiently and consistently meet our quality and customer standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating flatwork ironing equipment, inspecting linens for quality, sorting products for processing, and preparing finished goods for delivery. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

This is a day-shift position, with shifts beginning at 6:00 a.m. during the summer season. Due to increased production volumes, weekend availability is required, and employees must be prepared to work weekend. Over time is expected during our busy seasons.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate flatwork ironers to press sheets, tablecloths, pillowcases, and other flat linens.
- Fold linens manually or operate automated folding equipment according to customer specifications.
- Inspect linens before and after processing to identify stains, tears, or other quality concerns.
- Sort and stage linens for efficient production flow.
- Package, count,



and label finished products for storage or delivery.
- Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance or operational issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all workplace safety, quality, and sanitation procedures.
- Meet daily production goals while maintaining high quality standards.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in a commercial laundry, manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a warm, fast-paced setting.
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely around production equipment.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Good manual dexterity and physical stamina.
