LIVE-IN SUPERINTENDENT – East Ottawa

We are currently seeking a dependable, courteous and service-oriented Live-In Superintendent for a well-established high-rise condominium community in Ottawa’s east end.

Closing date is September 15.

What You’ll Do Working under the direction of Condominium Management, responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Conduct regular inspections of the building, garage, grounds and common areas
- Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance
- Report building deficiencies and maintenance concerns to Management
- Assist contractors and provide access as required
- Supervise move-ins, move-outs and major deliveries
- Program and distribute building fobs as directed
- Assist residents with building procedures, amenities and general inquiries
- Monitor garbage, recycling and compactor areas
- Maintain service rooms, workshop and common areas in a clean and orderly condition
- Complete minor door, lock, lighting and hardware maintenance




- Assist with guest suite and party room inspections and preparation
- Maintain basic logs, records and building supply inventories
- Respond to building emergencies while on call
- Perform seasonal duties, including snow clearing, salting and ice monitoring
- Make recommendations regarding improving the effectiveness of various maintenance programs to the Condominium Manager for consideration
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Condominium Manager

What We’re Looking For

- Strong customer-service and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm when residents are concerned or require assistance
- Previous superintendent, building maintenance or similar experience
- Comfortable performing minor repairs and using basic hand tools
- Basic computer and email skills
- Dependable, organized and able to work independently
- Professional when dealing with residents, contractors, Management and Board representatives
- Able to safely perform physical duties including walking, stairs, bending and outdoor work
- Able to occasionally lift or move items up to approximately 50 lbs (23 kg)

Schedule

- Monday to Friday – 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- After-hours and weekend availability required for building emergencies.
