Dispatch is a key operational role responsible for overseeing and streamlining daily fleet activities in London and across multiple locations. This position ensures the timely and productive dispatch of vehicles, manages driver schedules, and acts as the central liaison for all logistics and delivery-related communications in London. Success in this role requires exceptional organizational skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and dispatch fleet vehicles to meet delivery schedules and service expectations
- Monitor real-time fleet activity and adjust routes or assignments as needed
- Communicate effectively with drivers, account managers, and store teams to resolve issues
- Respond promptly to urgent requests and troubleshoot delivery delays or route conflicts
- Utilize Bistrack and GeoTab to manage dispatch operations and GPS tracking
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch logs, delivery times, and service incidents
- Manage time and attendance tracking for London-based drivers
- Monitor and report weekly on fleet and driver safety metrics
- Ensure completion and audit of pre-trip inspections using GeoTab
- Coordinate stock transfers to fulfill orders between Moffatt & Powell locations
- Process incoming transfers accurately and in a timely manner
- Inspect incoming inventory and document damaged products for vendor follow-up
- Handle incoming calls related to truck arrivals and notify relevant parties
- Collaborate with stores and drivers to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
- Oversee preventative maintenance and annual inspections for the London store fleet
- Maintain regular communication with other store locations
- Support onboarding and training of new drivers on dispatch protocols
- Collaborate with Estimating and other departments to manage floor system deliveries
Qualifications:
- Proven industry experience in dispatch, logistics coordination, or fleet supervision
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with dispatch software and GPS tracking systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work flexible schedule
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards
- Experience in a multi-site dispatch environment
- Analytical skills to assess route efficiency and recommend improvements
- Customer service mindset and conflict resolution capabilities.
Work Conditions
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods
- Primarily indoor work; occasional outdoor tasks may be required
- Must be able to lift and move products up to 30 lbs
- Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed
