We are seeking an experienced and motivated Loss Prevention Manager to oversee our team of Loss Prevention Officers and support our growing client portfolio. This role is ideal for an individual with strong operational, scheduling, and people management skills who enjoys working closely with clients and front-line staff to deliver exceptional service.

Position Summary The Loss Prevention Manager reports to the Director of Operations and is responsible for the day-to-day management of Loss Prevention Officers assigned to retail and commercial client locations.

The successful candidate will oversee scheduling, staff performance, training, coaching, client relations, quality assurance inspections, and operational compliance. This role requires regular site visits, active communication with clients, and timely resolution of service issues to ensure all contractual requirements and company standards are met.

The Loss Prevention Manager serves as the primary point of contact for Loss Prevention Officers and works closely with clients and internal departments to maintain high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Service Delivery

- Manage the daily operations of assigned loss prevention accounts.
- Ensure all shifts are scheduled and staffed in accordance with client requirements.
- Monitor staffing levels and coordinate coverage for absences, vacancies, and emergencies.
- Conduct regular site visits and quality assurance inspections.
- Ensure officers are following post orders, company policies, and client expectations.
- Review reports and operational metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Escalate significant incidents, risks, or operational concerns to management.

Staff Supervision & Performance Management

- Directly supervise and support Loss Prevention Officers.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and ongoing performance feedback.




- Conduct performance evaluations and document performance discussions.
- Investigate and address attendance, conduct, and performance concerns.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans where required.
- Support recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and retention initiatives.
- Promote a professional, positive, and accountable work environment.

Training & Development

- Coordinate onboarding and field training for new Loss Prevention Officers.
- Conduct refresher training and operational briefings.
- Ensure officers maintain required certifications and training requirements.
- Identify performance gaps and implement coaching and development plans.
- Communicate changes to policies, procedures, legislation, and client expectations.

Client Relations

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with client representatives.
- Respond promptly to client concerns, complaints, and service requests.
- Conduct regular client check-ins and site visits to ensure service expectations are met.
- Follow up on incidents, investigations, and service quality concerns.
- Work collaboratively with clients to identify opportunities to enhance loss prevention programs.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

- Ensure all officers maintain professional standards of appearance, conduct, and documentation.
- Audit reports and operational records for accuracy and completeness.
- Support workplace health and safety initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and applicable legislation.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client and employee information.

Qualifications

- Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory, management, loss prevention, security, or retail asset protection experience.
- Previous experience managing schedules and front-line personnel.
- Knowledge of retail loss prevention practices and investigative procedures.




- Strong understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and powers of arrest.
- Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
- Solid problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based scheduling systems.
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
- Valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel between client sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in retail loss prevention, security operations, policing, investigations, or asset protection.
- Post-secondary education in Police Foundations, Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field.
- Experience conducting training, coaching, and employee development.

Working Conditions

- Combination of office, retail, and field environments.
- Regular travel between client locations.
- Occasional evening, weekend, or on-call responsibilities to address operational needs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during site inspections and client visits.

Starting Wage: $24 - $27 per hour (commensurate with experience)
