TEACHER – LONG TERM OCCASIONAL (LTO)

HOLY CROSS

1.0 FTE

Grade 3/4 Early French Immersion and Core French

(Grade 3/4 Core French, English Class: 100 minutes on Wednesday afternoons)

Effective September 2, 2026,

For an indefinite period, but not to extend beyond June 30, 2027

Mandatory Requirements

- Basic qualifications to teach in the Primary and Junior Division
- French as a Second Language Part 1

Preferred Requirements

- Sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in the listed divisions
- Repertoire of current instructional and assessment strategies
- Proficient fluency in French as a Second Language
- Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom, Google Meet as well as additional G-Suite digital tools and EDSBY, to facilitate instruction and effective communication with parents
- Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Understanding of the Ontario Catholic Curriculum and effective strategies to teach Literacy and Numeracy
- Knowledge and experience in implementing balanced literacy and the use of student data to drive instruction
- Understanding and experience in implementing the CEFR approach into FSL instruction
- Commitment to supporting the use of technology in instruction and learning, and to promoting an setting of innovation and creativity that engages the 21st century learner
- Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies




- Commitment to being an active participant in the school's professional learning team to promote student achievement
- Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties
- Knowledge of, and familiarity with, the school environment would be an asset
