What You’ll Do as Maintenance SupervisorAs our Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll play an important hands-on role in keeping our hostel, guest facilities, and staff accommodations safe, functional, welcoming, and well maintained.

You’ll oversee the day-to-day maintenance of both the interior and exterior of the property while providing direction and support to the Maintenance team.

Your responsibilities will include

- Performing hands-on maintenance and repairs throughout the hostel and staff accommodations
- Providing direction and support to Maintenance staff
- Ensuring health and safety regulations and HI Canada policies and procedures are followed
- Troubleshooting maintenance issues and finding practical solutions
- Coordinating with external contractors and trades when required
- Working closely with other hostel departments to ensure guest and operational needs are met
- Helping ensure our accommodations and services meet HI Canada standards
- Other duties as required

What We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for someone who is hands-on, practical, resourceful, and enjoys solving problems.

You’ll bring

- Previous experience safely and responsibly operating power tools
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry
- Strong communication and troubleshooting skills
- The ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- A proactive approach to maintenance and problem solving
- A valid driver's licence
