Duties
- Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in math and physics, tailoring lessons to meet individual student needs and learning styles
- Develop customized lesson plans that simplify challenging topics and promote active understanding
- Use educational technology and computer skills to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement
- Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly
- Support students with special education needs by adapting methods to accommodate diverse learning requirements
- Foster a positive, motivating workplace that encourages curiosity and perseverance in STEM subjects
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, or school staff to align tutoring goals with academic curricula
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or students in an educational setting is highly preferred
- Demonstrated tutoring experience in math, physics, or related STEM fields
- Classroom experience or familiarity with teaching methodologies enhances effectiveness
- Knowledge of computer science and proficiency with educational software or online platforms is advantageous
- Strong understanding of math concepts from basic arithmetic to advanced calculus and physics principles from classical mechanics to modern theories
