Join the St. Mary's Hospital Diagnostic Imaging team where you will be able to expand and maintain your Computed Tomography skill sets including venipuncture, interventional CT, ER and acute care imaging, scheduled outpatients and off-site transfers. This position is a CT evenings line Monday to Friday 0.9FTE rotation, with rotating days off per a 10-week rotation.

This position will work closely with the MRT I and MRT II evening shift team and will allow you to utilize both general radiography and CT skill sets. St. Mary's CT department runs a Siemens Somatom scanner and a Bayer Med Rad injector.

The DI team services a busy emergency department, 76 bed hospital and many surrounding rural hospitals. This is an opportunity to work in a fast paced, supportive environment that allows you to develop your skills as a technologist and be an integral part of an interdisciplinary team.

Description

The Medical Radiation Technologist II (MRT) performs all routine radiographic/fluoroscopic, computed tomography and interventional procedures, and may work in a specialized area and/or coordinate daily work activities of the MRT team. The MRT II also produces radiographs of high diagnostic quality in an efficient and safe manner while attending to the diagnostic and care needs of patients undergoing diagnostic/therapeutic procedures. The MRT II is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with established standards,



and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health.

This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications Required Qualifications: Graduate of a recognized Medical Radiation Technologist program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) required. BLS (Level C - Health Care Provider) required.

Additional Required Qualifications

Experience working in an acute care setting. Previous CT and Gen Rad Experience. Previous C-arm Experience.

Preferred Qualifications

CAMRT CT Courses 1,2,3. CT Imaging Certificate.

Experience with Connect Care.
