Role Description This part-time Mover/Driver role at Seniors Relocation Services is an in office position based in Peterborough, ON. The Mover/Driver is responsible for safely loading, transporting, and unloading household items, with a particular focus on supporting older adults during moves and downsizing.

Day-to-day tasks include handling furniture and boxes, protecting items with appropriate packing materials, following scheduled routes, and operating company vehicles in a safe and courteous manner. The role also involves communicating clearly with clients, following move plans, working collaboratively with team members, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment and vehicle. The Mover/Driver is expected to follow safety procedures at all times, treat clients and their belongings with care and respect, and complete basic paperwork or digital records related to each move.

Qualifications

- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling furniture and boxes safely and repeatedly.




- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and confidence operating small to medium-sized moving vehicles.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact patiently and respectfully with older adults and their families.
- Attention to detail and basic organizational skills to follow move plans, label items, and keep track of inventory during moves.
- Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work flexible part-time hours, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Experience in moving, delivery, or general labor is an asset but not required; on-the-job training may be provided.
- Comfort working in clients’ homes, maintaining confidentiality, and demonstrating a high level of professionalism and empathy.
