Inspire Montessori School is a Montessori school in Markham. We are currently seeking an experienced Music teacher. The music teacher should have experience in working with Pre-Casa (ages 15 months to 2.5) and Casa (ages 2.5 - 6), and be prepared to work alongside the teachers in the classroom and the supervisor in a supportive team-teaching Montessori environment.

We are currently looking for individuals that can:

- Teach Music to young children through songs, use of instruments and rhythm
- Assist in the Casa (ages 2.5 to 6) classroom when not teaching music

Responsibilities:

- Work with teaching partner to plan and prepare Montessori curriculum that is age-appropriate for pre-casa and/or casa students.
- Observe, guide, and assess students for skill development and understanding
- Conduct daily circle time that promotes learning and group discussion.
- Maintain open, positive and consistent communication with students’ parents
- Organize and take part in school events,



excursions and school-wide initiatives that may take place after school hours.
- Keep the classroom clean and inviting by keeping materials organized and disinfecting daily.
- Teach Music to all 6 classrooms at our Montessori once a week.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 1 year experience working in a childcare setting with Pre-Casa or Casa aged students
- Experience in using electronic program planning and recording tracking is preferred.
- Knowledge of music

We are looking for both Part Time, Casual and Full Time Assistants. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
