Arcadia Academy of Music Maple- we’re looking for talented and dedicated Music Instructors to join our teaching team!

We are currently looking for Violin and Piano Instructors, with additional opportunities available for Guitar and Drum Instructors. However, we welcome applications from qualified instructors of all instruments.

Current Opportunities

Location: Arcadia Academy of Music – Maple

Instruments Needed: Piano, Violin, Guitar & Drums

Pay Range: $20–$30 per hour

Job Type: This is an independent contractor position

Schedule: Flexible based on availability and student demand

Start Date: Immediate

Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging and effective lessons according to Arcadia Academy of Music’s programs and curriculum
- Encourage students to practise, progress, and develop strong musical habits
- Adapt lessons to each student’s level, goals, and learning style




- Monitor and evaluate student progress
- Prepare students for RCM examinations and other performance opportunities where applicable
- Encourage and support students in participating in Arcadia concerts, performances, competitions, and events
- Collaborate with fellow instructors to create a positive and inspiring musical environment
- Complete student progress reports
- Communicate professionally with administration regarding student progress and needs
- Encourage students to continue their musical studies and achieve their individual goals

Qualifications We’re looking for instructors who are:

- Strong musicians with proficiency in the instrument(s) they teach
- Passionate about music and music education
- Skilled, reliable, and enthusiastic
- Patient, positive, and encouraging with students
- Comfortable teaching children, youth, and/or adults
- Able to create engaging and age-appropriate lessons
- Previous teaching experience is an asset
- RCM examination preparation experience is an asset
- Formal music education or equivalent musical training is an asset
- Able to provide a current Vulnerable Sector Check or willing to obtain one
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
