What will you do? Primary/Essential Responsibilities and Duties

This is not intended to represent a complete, comprehensive list of all duties and responsibilities that may be required in this position. There may be unplanned activities and other duties as assigned.

As part of our Engineering & Maintenance group and reporting to the Senior Infrastructure Manager, Infrastructure Maintenance, the OCS/TPSS Power Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing a group of Track Maintainers & Track Foreman in the execution of light rail track maintenance.



This is a full-time permanent management opportunity based in Waterloo, Ontario.

Leadership:

·Be a leader and promote Keolis’s work quality programs, safety culture and compliance to standards and policies.

·Take ownership of the track and territory that is assigned to you and be an ambassador of Keolis when interacting with customers, suppliers, and employees.

·Provide guidance and support to the maintenance forces assigned to your territory.

·Report and escalate all accidents/incidents and participate in the incident investigation and review processes.

·Act as a role model when it comes to safety, quality of work and efficiency of operations.

·Direct, coordinate and support the work of the Systems Group, under the direction of the Senior Manager, Infrastructure Maintenance.

·Mentor and train Systems Technicians.

·Perform annual employee reviews.

·Plan and schedule all preventative maintenance task throughout the year.

·Create, review & approve Work Orders.

·Review reports and logs to determine root cause of failures.

·Maintain the department’s annual operations within budget and forecast expenditures.

·Ensure that the work performed by the group of Systems Technicians is in accordance with the Project requirements and applicable standards.

·Perform reporting duties as per the Maintenance Plan and Region of Waterloo requirements.

·Act as a leader in terms of safety,



providing guidance and information on safety practices, procedures or policies.

·Perform Safety Audits and follow-up on non-compliances and corrective actions. Participate in accident investigations and disciplinary measures if and when required.

·Provide technical support to the Systems Technicians.

·On-call coverage for emergency response.

·Shifts may include afternoons, nights, weekends and holidays.

Required Skills and Qualifications

·Must have a 309A Electrical License in good standing, additional 434A or 207S is an asset.

·Minimum of 5 years’ experience in railway systems installation or maintenance; and

·Minimum of 5 years’ experience as team leader (supervisor or manager)

·Proficient in the use of computers (ex: Word, Excel, Outlook, smartphone etc.);

·Ability to read, write and speak English clearly.

·Post-Secondary education diploma in a relevant field (ex: Electrical Trade School, electronics, telecommunications, etc.) is an asset.

·Experience with OCS, TPSS and Electrical Systems and Automatic Warning Devices.

·Experience with Communications Systems, Fire Alarm Systems is an asset.

·Ability to read and comprehend drawings and specifications.

·Demonstrated leadership and coordination skills.

·Ability to manage priorities and plan work accordingly.

·Ability to work under pressure and take ownership of escalating issues.

·Ability to make decisions when needed.

·Safety minded work ethic.

·Valid “G” driver’s license or higher with clean Drivers Abstract.
