Our client, a leading provider of road and bridge maintenance services under contract with the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario, is looking for a hands-on, take-charge Operations Manager to lead a dedicated crew of forepersons, maintenance workers, and operators who keep Ontario's roads and bridges safe for the people who rely on them every day. - What You'll Do Own the day-to-day operations of a road and bridge maintenance contract
- Keep projects on track and on budget through smart scheduling, cost control, and quality standards
- Champion efficient use of manpower and equipment to drive productivity
- Manage capital works, work orders,



and extra work in response to MTO requests
- Oversee subcontracts and subcontractor relationships
- Handle the people side of the business: hiring, timesheets, overtime, and shift scheduling
- Build a workplace culture rooted in collaboration, accountability, and pride in the work
- What You Bring A diploma or degree from a technical college or university in a related field
- Deep knowledge of Ontario's Road and Bridge Maintenance Standards
- A track record of managing crews delivering road and bridge maintenance services
- Comfort with contract language, provincial regulations, and WSIB requirements
- Strong leadership, communication, and public relations skills
- Experience working within a unionized environment
