Vitton Global Services Limited is a growing multi-service business operating in British Columbia. We are seeking an experienced and capable Operations Manager to provide leadership and oversight across our business operations.
About the Position
Vitton Global Services Limited is seeking a results-driven and experienced Operations Manager to provide strategic and hands-on leadership across the company’s day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will lead supervisors and operational teams, coordinate business activities, monitor performance, and ensure that company standards and objectives are consistently achieved.
To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience leading and developing teams in a agile business environment, with the ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to changing operational demands. You will take ownership of operational performance, build strong working relationships across the organization, and create a professional and productive environment where employees understand their responsibilities and can perform at their best.
You will have a strong understanding of the company’s operations and the market in which it operates. You will monitor business activities, identify operational challenges and opportunities, and work with management to develop practical strategies that improve efficiency, service quality, productivity and business performance.
As a key member of the management team, you will be expected to lead by example, support supervisors in achieving operational objectives, develop effective working processes, manage resources responsibly, and contribute to the continued growth and success of the business.
The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership and organizational skills with sound business judgment, initiative and a hands-on approach to managing day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the company’s day-to-day operations and ensure activities are organized and carried out effectively.
- Provide direction,
leadership and support to supervisors and operational employees.
- Coordinate the activities of different teams and ensure that operational priorities are clearly communicated.
- Plan work priorities, assign responsibilities and follow up on operational progress.
- Monitor the performance of supervisors and operational teams and address issues affecting productivity or service quality.
- Review current operating practices and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and consistency.
- Develop and maintain practical procedures to support effective day-to-day operations.
- Work with supervisors to resolve operational challenges and implement appropriate solutions.
- Coordinate staffing, equipment, supplies and other resources required for ongoing business activities.
- Ensure employees understand and follow company policies, procedures and applicable workplace requirements.
- Monitor the quality and consistency of services delivered by the company.
- Prepare operational reports, updates and recommendations for senior management.
- Assist senior management with operational planning, resource allocation and the implementation of business objectives.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, training and performance evaluation of operational employees.
- Provide guidance to supervisors regarding team performance, workplace procedures and operational priorities.
- Monitor the use of operational resources and identify areas where improvements or efficiencies can be achieved.
- Maintain effective communication between senior management, supervisors and operational teams.
- Identify operational risks and recommend practical measures to address them.
- Support the implementation of operational policies, procedures and improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the company’s continued growth and development through effective operational management.
- Perform other management responsibilities related to the efficient operation of the business.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations Management or a related field is required.
- A master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations Management or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in operations management, administrative management, business management or a related supervisory or management position.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and providing direction to supervisors and operational staff.
- Experience coordinating multiple business activities and managing competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to assess operational processes and implement practical improvements.
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prepare operational reports and provide clear recommendations to management.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with senior management and operational teams.
- Proficiency with standard office and business software.
- Experience in a multi-service or growing business environment is an asset.
