Compensation : $1550/month base + excellent commission plan

Position Overview: As an Outside Parts Salesperson, you will be responsible for driving sales by building and maintaining relationships with customers in the field. You will represent our company by providing expert advice on solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction and supporting their fleet maintenance needs. This role requires a self-motivated, results-driven individual with a passion for customer service and a deep knowledge of parts.

Essential Functions and Purpose:

The Outside Parts Salesperson solicits business from assigned territory by developing and maintaining customer contacts and generating potential new business contacts. They would spend more than 50% of time outside the office engaging in the selling of parts.

Principal Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of VTC products and pricing
- Identify leads, manage prospects and acquire new business
- Visit assigned customers
- Prospect new customers
- Communicate parts orders to inside parts sales people




- Meet or exceed new business sales goals
- Complete prospecting activities to secure first and follow up appointments with decision makers
- Schedule and document activities
- Prepare and draft sales documentation and other paperwork needed to complete the sale in a timely manner
- Develop and maintain an awareness of the market behavior and competitive trends and responds accordingly
- Regularly meet with supervisor to review weekly sales activities, progress on goals and status of prospective customers
- Advise parts people of any special needs
- Follow up on parts order to ensure parts department is meeting or exceeding their needs
- Act as public relations liaison for VTC
- Maintain excellent customer service standards
- Resolve customer complaints and provides conflict resolution to customers
- Visit customers to provide and maintain excellent customer relations

Required Qualifications:

- Five (5) or more years of experience in service or parts departments of trucking industry
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication skills
- Must exhibit leadership qualities
- Must exhibit teamwork qualities
- Show Initiative
