Position Overview

We’re looking for a energetic sales professional to drive the Vermeer tree care, rental and landscape business. The Territory Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships while driving equipment sales and supporting long-term business growth. This role works closely with customers to understand their challenges, identify opportunities, and recommend solutions that improve productivity, profitability, and uptime.

The Territory

Manager actively manages a sales territory through prospecting, account development, market awareness, and collaboration with parts, service, and support teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

What You Will Do

- Establish and maintain customer accounts by managing work schedules and itineraries to call on current and prospective customers.
- Ensure sales presentations, quotes and orders meet customer needs and Vermeer Canada requirements. Oversee the entire pre-sale and after-sale process, providing timely follow-ups.
- Address and resolve customer concerns by investigating problems and providing solutions that will add value to their operations,



providing exceptional customer service and growing the Vermeer brand in the territory.
- Analyze market trends, sales forecasts and business plans, manage customer-related data, assist in the development and implementation of marketing programs, assist in trade shows or similar company functions, as required.
- Contributes to team success by assisting or referring to other representatives as needed and supporting Vermeer’s overall objectives.
- Demonstrate equipment to customers, providing comprehensive information on operating, servicing, warranty, and parts.
- Submit complete and timely information reports, including MOT requirements, call reports, prospect lists, work plans, expense submissions, vehicle reports, etc.
- Maintain a professional presence, ensuring a positive brand representation in the field and in meetings.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on health and safety requirements.
- Work in completed in a combination of office and jobsite environments with exposure to noise, dust and moving equipment. Outdoor work in varying weather conditions is expected.

What We Are Looking For

- Strong organizational and decision-making abilities with a proactive approach and a readiness to take initiative.
- Ambitious, goal-oriented with interpersonal and negotiating skills to achieve sales targets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills; including face-to-face, telephone, and written correspondence.
- Previous experience in heavy equipment sales with a proven track record, preferably within the tree care, rental, and landscape industry.
- Previous tree care, rental house, and/or landscape industry experience.
- Sales or marketing certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license: class A license preferred.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.

Travel

Significant travel throughout the territory is expected.
