Overview The Paint Department Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing the paint and refinishing operations in our shop. This leadership role ensures consistent quality, operational efficiency, and adherence to safety and environmental standards. The ideal candidate is an expert in automotive refinishing processes, paint technologies, and team leadership, capable of elevating the performance and reputation of our refinishing department.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Management

- Lead, mentor, and train a team of painters, preppers, and refinishing technicians.
- Establish and monitor performance metrics related to cycle time, quality, and productivity.

Operational Excellence

- Adhere to standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for all refinishing processes.
- Work closely with production managers to ensure efficient workflow and minimal rework.
- Monitor and manage material usage, waste reduction, and inventory control of paint and supplies.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

- Stay current on emerging paint technologies, tools, and refinishing techniques.
- Implement training programs and career development paths for refinishing staff.

Qualifications Experience: Minimum 10 years in automotive refinishing, with some experience in a supervisory or management role.

Technical Skills:

- Deep understanding of modern paint systems (waterborne, solvent-based, etc.)
- Robust knowledge of paint booth operations, mixing systems, and refinishing techniques.

Soft Skills:

- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.




- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Pay: $75,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
