Community Parking Champion
Park O Lot Inc. — Orillia, Ontario
More Than Parking Enforcement
At Park O Lot Inc., we believe good parking enforcement should create compliance, not conflict.
Our Community Parking Champions help keep private properties safe, organized, accessible, and fair for the people who use them every day.
That means keeping fire routes explicit, protecting accessible parking, ensuring residents and visitors follow parking rules, and helping people understand what is expected of them.
We can teach you parking enforcement.
We’re looking for good people with good judgment.
What You’ll Do
As a Community Parking Champion, you will:
- Patrol private properties on foot or by vehicle
- Check vehicles for permits, registrations, and compliance with posted rules
- Keep fire routes and accessible parking spaces clear
- Issue Notices of Parking Violation when required
- Photograph and document parking violations
- Assist residents, visitors, property managers, and members of the public
- Identify and report safety concerns or unusual activity
- Record patrol activity using our mobile technology
- Communicate with ParkNET Dispatch and our operations team
Our goal isn’t to issue the most tickets.
Our goal is to create communities where fewer tickets are necessary.
Who We’re Looking For
You don’t need previous parking enforcement experience.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Dependable and responsible
- Comfortable working independently
- Observant and attentive to detail
- Confident making decisions
- Respectful when dealing with the public
- Able to stay calm during disagreements
- Comfortable using smartphones and mobile technology
- Able to walk and patrol for extended periods
- Prepared to work outdoors in rain,
snow, heat, and cold
- Willing to learn
A valid Ontario driver’s licence is preferred for mobile patrol assignments. Experience in parking enforcement, municipal enforcement, security, customer service, hospitality, property management, or another public-facing role is an asset — but character matters more to us than your résumé.
The Reality of the Job
This is field work.
There will be quiet shifts, cold nights, hot afternoons, snowstorms, long walks, and occasionally difficult conversations.
Sometimes you’ll issue a parking violation.
Sometimes you’ll help someone understand where they’re allowed to park.
Sometimes the most significant thing you do will simply be keeping a fire route clear or making sure an accessible parking space is available for the person who needs it.
Whatever the situation, we expect our Champions to be:
Calm. Respectful. Fair. Human.
Why Park O Lot Inc.?
We’re building a different kind of parking enforcement company.
We use technology, education, and professional enforcement to create what we call an Ecosystem of Community Compliance — places where parking rules make sense, people understand them, and shared spaces work better.
You’ll receive training, work independently, solve real problems, meet people from every walk of life, and become part of a growing Ontario parking operation.
And if you finish a patrol and discover that everyone is parked exactly where they’re supposed to be?
That’s a good day.
Find Your Spot
If you’re responsible, curious, comfortable working independently, and believe you can combine confidence with kindness, we’d like to meet you.
A Spot for Everyone.
