Neurodivergent Services – Hamilton to Newmarket, Ontario

WMC Canadian Academy is expanding our neurodivergent support services and is seeking passionate and experienced Registered Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Occupational Therapists (OTs) to join our growing team.

We support children, youth, and families across the GTHA, from Hamilton to Newmarket and surrounding communities, providing individualized services designed around each learner’s strengths, needs, and goals.

Positions Available

- Registered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Compensation: $75–$100/hour, based on experience, qualifications, and scope of services.
- Registered Occupational Therapist (OT)

Compensation: $75–$100/hour, based on experience, qualifications, and scope of services.

Higher compensation may be available for clinicians with extensive pediatric, autism, complex-needs, assessment, or specialized clinical experience.

Responsibilities

Depending on your professional scope and experience, responsibilities may include:

- Conducting individualized assessments
- Developing and implementing treatment/intervention plans
- Providing direct therapy to children and youth
- Supporting communication, language, social communication, and functional skills
- Supporting sensory processing, regulation, fine-motor, gross-motor, and activities of daily living skills
- Working with children with autism and other neurodevelopmental differences
- Providing parent/caregiver education and consultation
- Collaborating with families, tutors, BCBAs, educators, and other professionals
- Monitoring client progress and adjusting intervention strategies
- Preparing professional documentation and progress reports
- Participating in interdisciplinary collaboration when appropriate

Ideal Candidates We are looking for clinicians who are:
- Registered and in good standing with the appropriate Ontario regulatory college




- Experienced working with children and youth
- Experienced with neurodivergent learners, particularly autism and ADHD
- Patient, compassionate, and family-centered
- Comfortable working independently
- Strong communicators
- Able to develop individualized, practical intervention strategies
- Comfortable collaborating with other professionals

Experience with ABA-based programming, OAP-funded services, school-based support, AAC, sensory regulation, feeding, social communication, or other specialized pediatric services is an asset depending on the position.
